Dear Rob Hile, Usually people write or call to complain..... right? I'm writing to say "Kudos"!! You and your workers are doing a fantastic job in Fisherman's Cove. I had 2 days of elephant's tap dancing on my roof, but that was expected and tolerable. Your crew was most polite, helpful and neat. When they saw me struggling to get my 94 year old father out of the car and then back in the house, they came over immediately to clear the path. They were very good about picking up the trash when the day was over and so expedient in getting the job done! And...today I would never know that they had been on my property this week!! Bravo K and D Roofing! Thanks to K and D Roofing I now have a beautiful new roof on my house. The roof was reasonably priced and installed quickly and efficiently. From my first meeting with the company's representative to the president's final examination of the finished roof, I have witnessed the operation of modern company with old fashioned work values. K and D does it right! Hard work, commitment, conscientious effort and excellent results are the expectations of all of us who hire companies to fix or improve our homes. Unfortunately, all too often those expectations are not met in today's America. But with the employment of K and D Roofing they were not only met - they were exceeded in the installation of my new roof. The company made sure everything was completed with the utmost competence, concern and professionalism. It was as if the roof was installed on the house of one of the owners of the company. The work was checked, re-checked and then checked again. Company supervisors checked ever stage of the removal of the old roof and installation of the new one. And when the roof was finished, all the debris removed (five separate searches were made to find even the tiniest of debris) and everything in order, then, the job supervisor took me around the entire house to make certain I was satisfied. I there urge anyone needing a new roof to employ K and D Roofing to do it. You will be delighted and they will do it right. In closing, I want to say I volunteered to write this reference. This is to let you know of the great experience that Craig and I had working with K&D Roofing on our total roof replacement. From the start, the experience was very professional and customer service oriented. The salesman was courteous and informative and laid out all the aspects of the job and the contract. The crew and foremen that worked on the job, kept us informed all the way, were professional and extremely hard working. The work site was left in impeccable shape, all construction trash was cleaned up and loaded into the trailer, and our property was protected at every turn. They completed the job in one day and the roof looks great, looks like a new home! We had K and D redo our roof about 6 years ago and then this year they came back to look into some areas of concern where the roof meets the outside walls - not related to the original re-roofing. In both cases, we were very pleased with the communication and service provided. The estimate was provided on time, the crew did a good job and cleanup after. The singles installed about 6 years ago seem to be in pretty good shape. The repairs made this year were quickly done and addressed the concerns we had. I was referred to K & D Roofing by a coworker after Hurricane Matthew damaged my roof. Rob Hile, owner, came out and using high tech equipment, determined that I would need a new roof for my house and detached garage. Additional damage was also done, both upstairs and downstairs, to the ceilings in several rooms of the house. Rob's crew removed all of my roof's shingles and plywood and made necessary repairs to other damaged wood. The crew he used was very professional and hardworking, starting by 0700 and finishing each day at 1900, with a 45 minute lunch break. They were all very courteous, non-smoking, non-radio playing individuals who never took breaks. Their families even brought us a homemade breakfast on Saturday morning. Additionally, my insurance company (Allstate) contacted me and began questioning the cost of the repairs. I know NOTHING about roofing and immediately contacted Rob. He told me the game had begun, and negotiated with the insurance company for the payment with no issues. I would recommend K & D Roofing to anyone, and have recommend them to several friends since my repairs. Extremely knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy, efficient and all around good people. I've had nothing but great experiences with K & D Roofing..... K & D re-roofed my home in Jacksonville Golf and did a fantastic job at a competitive price. They were on time, finished the job in the timeframe quoted and even came back several times with the rolling magnet after the job was completed to make sure all the old nails were removed from my yard. Three years later they replaced my chimney cap and again, they did a fantastic job at a competitive price. Lastly, just before we moved to downsize in retirement, the cupola / weathervane on the roof needed to be repaired and K & D was the only roofer I called. Again they came through with flying colors! I would highly recommend K & D Roofing! Rob and his team are fantastic. He has done 2 full roof replacements for me in the past year, on a rental property and then my primary home. Both times I reached out to Rob, he was there the next day to do his inspection and each hail claim was covered by my insurance companies. I had several quotes from other well know roofers. Don't ever go with the cheapest roof, but Rob was not far off and his warranty is second to none. Communication and clean up were great.
He also performed another inspection for me on a potential purchase free of charge, that saved thousands on a home that was in disrepair. Any future roofing needs I have will use K and D.

I had K&D do my roof and they did a great job I could not ask for a better outcome Rob provided a project manager who stopped in multiple time through to inspect the work and had a grounds and safety guy on site the entire time to look after my plants and kept the walk way clear of nails when I needed to come and go. after each day the crew did a great job cleaning up and used magnets to pickup nails and after the job was complete they sent a ground inspector to check for any left over nails or signs debris. When the job was done it was like no one had ever been there, Great Job guys Thanks again!!

K & D Roofing replaced my roof in the spring of 2014. My house has a 1,550 sqft asphalt shingle roof. Pretty standard fare, except I also needed them to install about 50 mounts for my solar panels that would go on top of the roof. They graciously worked with me with this unfamiliar requirement and ended up doing a beautiful job and professional job. Now three years later, despite having 50 extra holes in my roof for my solar panels, 50 extra places for Hurricane Matthew to push moisture into my house, I've never had a problem.
Note, installation of the actual panels was not done by K & D, just the roof mounting points they attach to.

Leaky porch roof was nothing more than a clogged gutter. Rob cleaned out the porch roof and gutters of leaves. K&D provides email appointment reminders. Fantastic customer service.

Put on a new roof and repaired a hole caused by Mother Nature.
A few months ago, we had a new roof installed by K&D. They did a great job including the rebuilding of part of the side of the chimney, which is coquino. Over the weekend, we had a pretty substantial thunderstorm with some strong winds. As a result, a branch from one of our trees broke off and impaled in my new roof. We called K&D today and within a couple hours, Rob the owner came by to take a look. The damage was not as bad as it looked and he was able to remove the branch and patch the hole. Now the most impressive part. No charge! Same day service and free. If you're looking for a quality roofing/construction company with great prices and even better customer service, call Rob.

I called K&D Roofing to see if they could tell me the age of my roof, if it would need to be replaced soon, and what I could do to extend the life of a flat roof on an addition to my house.
Rob of K&D Roofing came at the agreed upon time and was very helpful by answering all of my question about the two types of roofs I have on my house. He gave me a couple of options for when and how to address any upcoming roof problems. I felt he knew a lot about my roof and gave me some very good advice. He was very pleasant to talk to and was very much at ease with my questions and concerns. He offered to return in two years to reinspect my roof and alert me to any new problems.

I had used K&D for some repairs in the past. Rob was punctual, the estimate was clear on what I was paying for. The work was done on time, the inevitable mess was kept to a minimum, and cleanup was done as promised. Each day a job foreman would knock on the door and ask if I had any questions or concerns. I was provided with the necessary paperwork for my homeowner's insurance. They were FABULOUS!

Price is probably a little higher than most, but I wouldn't have any other company work on my roof. I recommend K&D to all my friends. I think the knowledge of an honest, fast quality job is far better than saving a few dollars on inferior materials and workmanship.
